All Italy sees the mobilization of student organizations in defense of public schools. Thousands of students manifest in the streets against the approval of the Gelmini decree to Parliament. After the approval of the decree passed in the House to the Senate by forcing proposed by President Schifani anticipating the approval time to 13 December, and right now it is normal that the two sides make their voices heard by the means at their disposal.
are occupied schools and monuments, blocked highways, railway stations and airports, organized marches and principals in Italian cities. Meanwhile, in schools and institutions, students and their families continue to seek to assert their views and support the need for a change of this decree.
Unfortunately at the same time students Valdicecina live in utter indifference of local governments and the colleges themselves hostile to their expression of dissent.
The towns of Volterra and Pomarance never expressed support for students, Mayors and Councillors to education if they are in their offices instead of mingling with students and thus give a hand to their organization.
The colleges (high schools and technical) with their leaders, who should line up well against a reform that harms public schools and the students' future, threaten the students, impede the development of protest actions (such as self-management in high school), although these do not prevent even the lessons from the students who so wish.
Our party sided with the students, condemn the act of wanting to prevent the free expression of their dissent, and regrets the complete absence of the municipalities of Volterra Pomarance and should instead fight for the defense of these colleges in our area.
Other than the defender of the grammar school as it appeared at the beginning Buselli legislature and even less coherent Martignoni that occurred highlighting ITIS the importance of this school for our area.
The PD Alta Val di Cecina sided with the students and took to the streets with them tomorrow morning to Volterra to protest against this situation and to the right of assembly and protest.
hope that the municipal authorities and school leaders to change their position and support our boys. The school is too important to Prefix policy.
Democratic Party Alta Val Di Cecina
