A list that appeared in the elections with the ambition to rule a scoring performed, with the ambition to be the best government possible for the country. An ambition that each political group must have an ambition supported by an invincible and indomitable passion for politics that is the very strength of each. In 2004 we won the elections, we began to work despite physiological problems, which emerged from time to time. When the campaign ends, the excitement is daily tested by thousands of issues that we face, issues which must make important decisions, decisions which simply raise their hands decide the future of a community, but also consistency of its staff. Choices in which the question of making a mistake is gripping, but where the responsibility to govern requires action, deciding sometimes the lesser evil, or - if you prefer - the greater good. Politics, the real one, is this: when choosing the options on the table require difficult compromises and necessary, choose responsibly, but letting himself be guided by the ideal of the Common Good.
Two years ago the birth of the Democratic Party was the event more difficult politically, personally suffered the most. Our parties, our houses are legitimate dissolution: Oldest to cancel a living history, for the younger ones are erased in a moment the hopes of a future in which to build a new Left, but the heritage of its past. The construction of the Democratic Party was not any "dispute party", was one of many politicians mixed up: it was a cancellation of stories. A Passirano the consequences were immediate. The disintegration of the DS saw a painful separation, not all agreed to merge in the Democratic Party, not all agreed to cancel their inheritance. We stuck with nails and teeth to what remained of the Left, something we tried to rebuild from the rubble after the building that were the Democratic Party. First there was the Democratic Left, then the left-L'Arcobaleno. We stayed true to our council majority, although they are as a group inside it. Fear on the part of us headed to losing support, afraid to be clear to people, afraid to say, to know the administrative work. A fear that was the leitmotif of this administration, a fear that has allowed us to understand the demands of the people of the various committees were born in these years and a fear that did not allow us to continue to be an active part of the majority. Branded as radicals when we brought forward the need to achieve what we promised on the participation, viewed with suspicion when requesting documentation or explanation, we slowly felt unrelated to this majority that we saw as a threat to its stability. We resisted as far as we could and it was right to honor commitments taken, keeping our being and our dignity. Yes .. when you are recognized as active in administration, he goes for his dignity and the resulting political action. In November we were asked to bring a motion in City Council about the school. For some time this request had been made by us, and how long it had been given the indifference response. However, we accepted the intention of the majority, believing that they can explore with the idea of \u200b\u200bmotion through the political confrontation is necessary for a coalition when he has to draw up a joint document. Unfortunately it was not so: in November the text of the motion had already been drawn up by the majority, we wondered just raise your hand. The Councillor for Education, Board member of our group had not even been consulted on that motion, for that text that pointed to the motion of corporatism within the school and the unnecessary waste in it. A motion unacceptable to the contents and methods by which we were given.
On 10 December the commissioner of the Public Education Passirano resigned because of the impossibility states to cooperate actively with the majority, who robbed him and his group the opportunity to make policy proposals, a possibility which is realized only in a coalition when there is trust and respect each other's ideas and skills.
